To apply for this loan, you must agree that the borrower or the student meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

1. be a U.S. Citizen or registered non-citizen;
2. attend an eligible postsecondary institution as defined;
3. be enrolled at least half time in a career vocational-technical program or an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree program;
4. be, or plan to be, a student, in academic good standing as defined by the institution you attend, during the loan period;
5. not be delinquent on a prior student loan(s) or be past due in child support obligations;
6. not have a status at the time of application for a loan, or disbursement of the funds, that would prevent you from repaying the loan as it becomes due;
7. not have a credit history that demonstrates chronic inability or unwillingness to pay an extension of credit;
8. within the preceding five years not have had a student loan written off for any reason except for discharge in bankruptcy.
Note: If you do not meet the financial eligibility requirements for a Loan, you may be eligible if a financially eligible person cosigns.
